Wind damage may cause issues for homes with shingled roofs and glass windows. From that perspective, it might seem like homeowners have the most to lose. However, high winds can pose risks for apartment complexes as well, and renters will expect timely service if they are insured.

Sometimes, this damage won’t impact an apartment itself. The Dallas-Fort worth NBC affiliate recently reported on a carport outside of a building had been ripped out of the ground. The roof of this carport apparently was pressed up onto a nearby building.

Another case happened earlier this year. A gust in Willowbrook, Illinois, pulled off sections of an apartment building’s roof, as CBS Chicago said.

In these situations, insurers may need outside claims adjusters for extra processing. Contact BrightClaim to learn more.
